It seems like the well of new old stock F3's may have run dry. I ordered a set from Snow Patroller a month and a half ago, they took my money, and then...

One problem with expansion springs is that once they stretch too far, they don't come back. I ran into this with the Voile Traverse and Riva bindings...

I optimized my leash setup with the input from this forum. I used Jason's idea of clipping in at the binding rather than the boot. Actually I put carabiners...Last edited by jtb; Yesterday, 06:27 PM.

Yes, the wood is shredded all the way back and the glue is still intact. Even at the sidewall kinks and the apparent delamination towards the tail, there...

BTS is right, the Voile LT cartridges are right around the limit as far as length and width for a cartridge spring. I've even had issues at a pivot distance...

Well, after being in the "light is right" camp for many years, I finally had a catastrophic ski failure. It was on a day when the snow was not...

I use the BCA snow saw. It's light, thin, and connects to a BD flick-lock pole for long reach (and probably most other 2-piece poles). That saves you...

Dissecting the SkiTrab toe release mechanism
I disassembled a TR2 toe for various reasons. While I had it on the bench I figured I'd show how the release mechanism works. The TR2 is a fairly old...Last edited by jtb; 19 March 2023, 06:59 PM.
