  • stinky boot liners...

Well, I know how to keep liners from getting stinky. After I ski in a boot, I take the liners out of them when I get home and stick them in front of the heater to dry out. If you dry them right away,... the stink doesn't develop...

... but I have one pair of intuition liners that I must have forgotten to do that with, and now they smell pretty bad.

Anyone have a solution for stinky boot liners? Can I throw them in the washing machine? Some other voodoo to lose the stink?...
the fall line is your friend.... resistance is futile

Wash them with warm water and dish soap in a 5 gallon bucket. Air dry in the sun. Spray with deodorant/antiperspirant if they tend to get really bad.

And dry them completely out of the shells with footbeds removed after every use.

          This!

Just in case you missed that...wash as above and then, get obsessive! Take the liners out of the shells ASAP after skiing, every time, get the footbeds out, spread the liners for maximum airing. Forced cool air is best for drying, motionless dry air is good enough.

Get a couple of strips of aromatic ceder. Throw them in when you'e not using them. Sucks up the stink.

A drop or two of koala urine concentrate.

              It's the eucalyptus.

That sounds like a terrific idea. Where does one get koala urine concentrate?

I would add baking soda to make a warm water, soap, and baking soda mix.

I've had mirazyme odor eliminator by gear aid that I picked up at r.e.i. work pretty well if I use it full strength. I use a small spray bottle that shoot a really fine mist. Mirazyme is kinda expensive if used full strength so the "mister" helps make it last.
