I know the avy ratings and where to find them but am curious how the snow depth and conditions are. I will be up there on the 27th to ski mostly with family at JHMR but want to know if it is worth bringing all my BC gear. It looks pretty thin at the resort.

Thanks, There will be a lot of my extended family there so most normal people may want to stay clear. I usually get the best info from TGR but the last post on the Teton conditions is from July in last years conditions thread. This has me worried that there is a reason people are not posting yet this year.Comment

Snotel in the area at 8200' reads 33"...report from JHMR reads 44" at the summit, which I'm sure you saw. Doesn't look good, but people do have their stashes, even in low coverage. A recent TR would help, wouldn't it?
With 110" (ski area report) of total snowfall, there must be some stuff filled in somewhere, right? That low density snow does pack down quite a bit, though. And there may be more snow over near Targhee.Yay!...(Drool)

Targhee reporting 125" total, 55" base. I think there may be some decent skiing in the high alpine...might be a good hike to get to it, though.Yay!...(Drool)

Just looked at webcams on the pass...looks pretty low coverage but there are lots of cars parked there. Also, Glory Bowl looks to be filled in. I think there is some good skiing to be had if you look...pure speculation, of course. Odd that there are no TR's posted, but maybe the locals got wise and don't spray their exploits anymore on the web....crowd control.Yay!...(Drool)
