  • Hello lost ones

JFB pointed me here. Jellero has also started something on a free forum service (here: http://teleskimark.myfreeforum.org/index.php) but this one seems like it has a better chance of being permanent.

I'm getting excited for ski season as we start to see the first spots of fall color appearing around here. I also just got back from a trip to Australia (no skiing) so I'm pumped to be back in the mountains where I feel I belong.

Had a nice ride at Hartman Rocks last night. Rains have made the trails extra nice and tacky. Great sunset last night too - totally worth the dark ride home!

Hi Matt! I see you got photo embedding to work. Let me give it a try - this is the moonrise from Mammoth on closing weekend this year. I had skied with Mitch that day. Good times!

Hmmmm..... I'll have to remember where to put the slash. I'll share a TR or 2 when I return from a 6-day backpacking trip that start tomorrow.
It's turns! Of course it's worth the hike!

          Sweet photos as always!

Has anyone else been skiing this spring/summer? This June was the best in years around these parts.

              That looks really nice!
My last was the TTips gang meetup at Independence Pass in early June. It's been too long!

Hey y'all. I vote for this place, versus the TRG frat-house and a handful of other contenders that seem kind of dead. Shortened my name from "bobskiing" since "skiing" is kind of redundant here. I haven't skied since June (Shasta northside), but here's a photo that Captain Nordic just sent me yesterday (his latest project is scanning old slides), from 26 years ago. Yeah, my technique was terrible, but I had fine fashion sense...

A little August love from Alaska.

Quickly scrapped the idea of skiing into the lake with a drysuit on after looking at the drop:

Nicely done. You've taken snow-patch skiing to a new level.

Thanks to Dostie for hosting this. Haven't been on snow since April, but on the ice all the time. Looking forward to trip reports, will have to post a couple.

Great pictures, all, thanks. jfb, good to hear you skied with Mitch at Mammoth this year. I'd love to hear how he's doing, what he's up to, etc, if it wouldn't be violating confidences. I really appreciated ttips and all Mitch did for many, many years, and I'm sure there are many others who would love an update unless it would be compromising Mitch's privacy.

Liking the photo stoke here. I was very sad to find TTips dead, and it looks like TGR is worse of a shatshow even than I had recalled. Thanks Dostie for hosting a forum that seems to have a lot of potential. I suspect I might like it here.
