Had a great weekend on snow!
Saturday was Nordic with MrsB. Snow was sticky but we still had a good time.
Lots of new snow and natural beauty.

Then yesterday I got up early to ski Mt. Emmons with a buddy.
Bumped into some fast-moving friends on the skin track. They lapped us.

Mt. Crested Butte which opens Wednesday

Our first lap was in the upper portion of Red Lady Glades. Great snow! We just skied the top 1/3 (~800') and then headed back up.

Then we skied Red Lady Bowl which was even better for snow conditions. Boot to knee deep fluff with a supportive base. Really fun!

Nice shots on the Lady, Matt! Good to get after it without the school bus sized cornices which form later on.
