    Hey that's great.

    But in the old days you guys would start posting fall colors threads around this time of year.

    Have we skipped right over the fall colors threads and gone straight to snow guns?

          From Sugarloaf yesterday. Rumor is they're going to try to open for Halloween….haven't done that in a VERY long time (about 1995).

              I know you're familiar with the area…..the top one is a view of Crocker Cirque and the bottom one is looking up the Carrabassett River at the Bigelow range.

                              BTW, does anyone know why some (very few) aspens turn bright orange and even red? Is that a genetic variation or vagaries of climate? Nature or nurture? Should I go dig up the reddest aspens I can find and bring them home? (Especially if they're in the yard of some McMansion)
