  • Travel Management Rule, subpart C, for over-snow vehicles

In compliance with a lawsuit, the Eldorado, Tahoe, Stanislaus, Lassen and Plumas are in the process of designating roads, trails, and areas on National Forest System lands where over-snow vehicle (OSV) use is allowed, restricted, or prohibited. (Snowlands has lobbied their positions relative to this travel management process in a few different threads on this board).

When the dust settles at the "end" of this travel management process, the trails and areas available to snowmobiling will be specifically designated.

Thanks for posting this B. The lawsuit that Snowlands settled actually does not in itself require a full subpart c review but perhaps that is what the forests will do.
