  • The exciting storage solutions thread.

    Here's one I recently completed.

It's a simple (yet elegant) frame of pressure-treated 2 bys bolted to the forgotten side of our fabulous walkout basement home.

Some people say an outside ladder, available like that invites a cat burglar to climb in an upstairs window.
Or your ladders might get stolen?

Simple and elegant but you totally muffed it up. The shovel with the green handle is hung too low. Massive fail.

Great idea, I should do something like that with my ladders. Oh wait, I'm already using the garage walls for something...

Well, we don't have a cat. But now I'm concerned about our teenaged daughters.

From what I can see, the cat burglar will saunter down to the next house ...

Coincidentally, I have had a ladder up against the house all week leading to the roof (installing gutter guards/screens on some heavily impacted gutters) ... dawned on me ... does not do them much good ... unless the secret cat gutter cleaner shows up.

It's amazing what a few properly placed nails will do to keep your **** off the ground.

Those would mostly be people from *EAST* of the Mississippi River, methinks.

And the best way to deter cat burglars is to not own anything of any real value.

I think you meant *SOUTH* of the Mason Dixon Line.

Another case of misleading stats/maps, 'cause there are like eleventy billion people in the NE.

You need to install drip caps to complete the project. Let me tell you about it.

This is the all-time most boring topic on a chat page. Garage storage systems?

                            Pray for snow.

Agree, Matt. But in the meantime, meet my garage....
