Thanks for the piece JackO. You can see that an article about tele posted to the web generates some hysteria here!!

I'm usually the only one on teles in circles I ski and tour with. In a word, what I hear from the others is 'respect', and maybe a second word would be 'curiosity'. People like the look, are curious about trying it, but the barriers are tall.

So sorry to all here that I went off on Willie. I’m in no mood for the contrary BS that he so often likes to spread here. Thanks Jack O for the article and hopefully it spreads some telemark awareness to newer skiers. I love the turn and have been at it for around 4 decades and worked in the biz for a long time. I ski tele in area 100% but I do mix it up in the BC and ski bigger mountaineering objectives in AT gear as it’s lighter and more efficient on those lines. I just fielded some curious questions recently from some younger skiers about why I ski tele by.

Apologies accepted! I’ll also apologize for some of my comments here and in the other thread tonight. Look I’m down for discussions and the difference of opinion if there’s some basis for your comments but just to disagree for the sake of disagreement does not sit well with me and I’m not one to let BS slide by. I will promise that if I read some ill intended mischief then I’ll be coming at ya with a reply.

I literally was just going to pm you (still will) about to say; hey let’s chill and agree to disagree. I hope you and everyone here knows that this is all tongue in cheek banter.
