  • PSA: FiberFix - looked interesting at Lowes ...

    http://www.fiberfix.com/

FiberFix is a single use repair wrap that works so quickly because any moisture - even the vapor in the air immediately sets to work on forming that amazing FiberFix strength.

I wonder if could be used for do-it-yourself broken bone casts?

This is good timing- a weld on the aluminum frame on my river table broke and the riveted-on plastic top was going to make welding it back together problematic. Didn't want to add sharp bolts- this could be just the ticket- thanks !ski!

actually this http://www.smithsonianmag.com/innova...ape-180947587/ answers your question:
And even though users would be able to sand and paint over the product without compromising its integrity, the thing is almost impossible to get it off. So, don’t use it as an arm cast. Or, as Quinn explains, think of it as something that’s designed to be a long-term fix.

I would put some straw or cotton wrapping underneath first - I am just not going to wrap my bare arm (or Bear arm after bitten.)

And I won't remove it with a regular sawzall blade - I will use some special cast removing blade - or a rotary saw with a diamond blade.

As for x-ray - an old B&W monitor with the CRT HVT upped ...

Maybe once the leaves come down I can try after falling off the roof ... while trying to fix the aerial (Aero! hah now I know where that came from!)
