I've now been in Gothic (outside of Crested Butte, CO) as winter caretaker for the Rocky Mountain Bio Lab, snowbound, for 8 months now. As you might imagine, winter is getting a bit old, especially with 22 inches falling in 24 hours last Sunday. Of course, I will never again get the chance to ski 160+ days in a season, let alone 160+ days of spectacular wilderness backcountry, so I've been trying to make the most of it.

Baldy, Bellview, linking up Virginia Basin / Copper Creek, linking up Rustler's Gulch and Copper Creek and skiing the "Camels Humps."
