AT, my Obi-Wan Kenobi, thanks for showing me the path!
      When is the next trip?
Looks like we need to replace/update your stash.

I see a patch of snow to the skiers right. Is that what he is going to ski, for a TAY?

I still don’t know what TAY means... urban dictionary says ‘usually a short blonde girl with curls who prefers it straight...’

Some follow up on that shot....

I was looking for a sunny, happy photo to cheer up comrade dschane who had complained of feeling soggy in another thread.

I later realized a cruel irony. That day, September 29, 2008, essentially marked the end of my
TAY ("Turns-All-Year" for the acronymly-challenged) streak.

No turns had been had that month and this was one last attempt.

                    The objective:

A poor choice for the approach route became depressingly treacherous and arduous causing us to give up:

I think you could get at least 2 turns on that patch and call your TAY steak Good til next month! 🤪

Perhaps, but the governing body at the time were total nazis!

One year they almost rejected this submission if you can believe it:

For turns like that, the walk in and out has to be at least 2 miles each way then they count... If you can see a road from where you put your skis on then it's 3 miles each way...

Standard rule is 1000' of vertical total to count as a day of skiing. Short patches are ok if you lap them. If you live in Washington state, Muir snowfield does not count.
