  • USA Made Ski Pack?

Howdy, I was looking at a lighter weight USA Made ski pack. I saw there is a company up in Jackson - Apocalypse Equipment and willing to give them a try. Any other vendors to consider? My Osprey Kamber Pack is good but its heavy at almost 4 pounds and looking for something lighter.

Cilo Gear is out of Portland. I have their 30oz ski pack. It's super light and no frills. I use it only on day trips. If weight is your principal motivation, I'd recommend it. But if you like a lot of pockets or plan to weigh it down with a lot of gear, I'd look elsewhere. It relies on a very thin foam pad and your shovel for internal support.

And Hyperlite Mtn Gear is out of Maine. I have a friend who uses one of their packs for alpine climbing and loves its weight and weather resistant properties. They say they have some add-ons for carrying your skis in an A-fram.
